Overview of AAC App Process

  • AAC app selection is individualized and based on each student’s unique communication needs.
  • Decisions are made collaboratively by the Assistive Technology Team,  IEP team and family.
  • The goal is to select an AAC system that supports effective, independent communication and can grow with the student over time.
